I have verified that my account balance was zero and that my account is closed as of today (Aug 6, 2008). I would definitely encourage Sprint to reconsider their cancellation policy and allow immediate cancellations for customers who are not under contract (i.e. month to month). I'd like to thank Sprint for their corrective action and will not hesitate to come back once the iPhone is made available to other networks.

We appreciate your assistance in bringing our customer's concerns to our attention. We are pleased to inform you that we spoke with Mr. King and addressed all of his concerns. Based on the information in his inquiry, we agreed to apply the necessary adjustment to Mr. King's account to bring his balance to zero after his final invoice generates on August 6, 2008. After the adjustment is applied, his account will be in canceled status with a zero balance, and no additional payment will be due. We also appreciate Mr. King's taking the time to provide us with the details of his customer service experiences.
